Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Positive change requires reviews to measure impact, success and thus facilitating organizational and community turn around. This brings forth best practices that can be more enhanced and programmatic areas that require adjustments so as to meet the required outputs.

 

Monitoring provides the small boulders of change while evaluation provides an opportunity to move big boulders and fit them into the right places. All these happens within the internal environment of an organization that constitutes log frames, Ghant charts, seasonal calendars and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Alternately, review of the external environment provides a framework for understanding the change in attitudes, behaviors, relationships and use of holistic resources endowed in the households and communities. 

Microfinance Development and Financial Literacy

The formal financial intermediation sector hasn’t provided sustainable solutions to the majority world especially in sub Saharan Africa. This is because their costs and requirements have been inaccessible to the people in the margins. However the people in the margins still need to address financial challenges such as emergencies, lifecycles and investments through an accommodative and accessible financial intermediation.

 

We offer consultancy services of establishing savings led micro finance intermediation systems in the community, these includes Table Banking, Accumulating Savings Credit Associations as well as SACCOs and Cooperatives. Moreover it has become critical especially through organization like ILO for people in the margins to access micro insurance for different emergencies in the households as well as to secure their future through affordable insurance. 

Livelihoods Development

Securing the future of individuals and communities requires local/ indigenous solutions blended with external best practices. This is attained through sustainable management of assets, capacities and natural resources that exists within and among the people. It is critical also that the same people should have the ability to foresee, manage and recover from shocks and stresses that emerge from their external environment.

 

And above all that their use of the resources today doesn’t jeopardize the abilities of the future generations to use the same resources. Programme Structure

 

Experiential engagement and participatory methodologies are the approaches adopted by Kileleni Africa in the delivery of her consultancy work. This is because adults remember and internalize more of what they have participated in doing other than what they have been told or seen. This is more so in training but also in research related activities where Kileleni Africa seeks to facilitate participatory research in M&E and Baseline surveys as opposed to extractive research.

 

However since clients’ needs are varied, the engagements are contextualized to meet their desires and goals. A post training, research and general consultancy report will always be written by Kileleni Africa where necessary. The contents of such reports will be reviewed by both the clients and representatives of Kileleni Africa after which a signed copy shall be delivered to the client.

 

Appropriate action will then be taken by the implementing organization arising from the recommendations. We hope that this will enable such organizations to facilitate positive change as they deem fitting in their organizational culture
